Gina, Me & Sherri
Scrapping on the Orient Express
Branson, Missouri
(We missed you Kelly!)
Last weekend my sister, Sherri, Gina & I headed up to Branson on Thursday afternoon for a little shopping before our retreat began at 3:00 on Friday. We shopped a couple malls and then headed to the Landing...I just love that place! We ended the evening with dinner at the White River Fish House...topped off with a dessert of skillet cookie topped with ice cream & cool whip. YUM-MY!
Friday morning we got up, had a late breakfast (or early lunch) at Cracker Barrel, hit a few more stores and then headed to the retreat around 3:00. Then from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning we cropped. I am a hit or miss scrapper...I did really well with the pages I had pre-planned...but after that I was really slow. On the other hand, Sherri & Gina are always on a mission to get caught up. Gina pretty much "stays" caught up so she had time to catch a late movie Saturday night in the room. Sherri scraps every available minute...me, I scrap til I get tired (or brain dead) so I joined Gina in the room and caught most of "Facing the Giants." I have seen it before, Gina had not. It's a good movie with a great message.
Sunday morning Sherri was up & at'em early while Gina & I slept in...then once we got the car loaded...which was an endeavor in itself..I can't believe I didn't take a picture of our loaded car...we even had to meet up with our Mom to have her bring a few boxes back with her because there wasn't any room and I wasn't holding a box fully of Pyrex for the next 3 hours in my lap!
Mom & Dad went to Fayetteville on Friday and met up with her sister, Patty, and Billy. Daddy & Billy went to the game (well until the first rain delay and then they left) and Mom & Patty headed to Branson to shop. We met up with them on Sunday morning at Tanger mall. After a little more shopping, we had a Mexican lunch and headed home.
Thanks Gina for letting us stay in your condo the first night and Sherri, you did a great job navigating through all the backroads & traffic around Branson.
If you are looking for a great scrapbooking retreat, check out this one sponsored by Scrapbook Generation out of Springfield, Missouri. Great space, good food and lots of happys. That looks like a blast! I didn't know they did a crop retreat- and Branson is too fun. I'd love to do this one sometime! Keep me informed when the next one is. I'm doing Sassy Scraps in Feb. but might be interested in their next fall one!
